All That Glitters...

All That Glitters...

For a while now, I've been on a search. Finding things usually isn't too much of a problem for me. I have my sat nav for finding my way to my friend's new pad, and google for finding those must lusted after shoes. Finding my G Spot though? That's another story.

The media has been buzzing about it for years now, with every women's magazine telling me how to find it, and what positions to do in order to hit it. The reality is (and I apologise if this puts you off your dinner), those positions just make me want to pee.

Not one to want to feel left out, I was excited to hear that GMP would be sending me a vibrator to test which is specifically designed to hit my G Spot. After all, it was a vibrator that gave me my first clitoral orgasm, so hopefully the same could be said for a G spot orgasm.

The Glitterous G-Spot 8" Ultra Soft Vibrator is true to it's word in that it's a glittery little disco diva of a vibrator. Before I tell you more about how I got on, here are a few basic facts:

    • Length: 8" - 203.2mm
    • Batteries: 2 x AA batteries
    • Batteries Included: No
    • Circumference: 5.4" - 137.16mm
    • Diameter: 1.75" - 44.45mm
    • Material: Jelly rubber
    • Insertable Length: 7" - 177.8mm

Looks

Still here? Excellent. Now I'm not going to lie to you, the box isn't exactly my favourite choice of packaging. I always find it a little bizarre when sex toy manufacturers put a naked porn chick on the front of the box. Is this to encourage men to buy it for their other half? Still, the actual toy is a great looking vibrator. The glittery purple colour appeals to my girly side, and I liked the simple twist bottom control. The shape starts off thick at the bottom and slims down towards the top, with a curved ball designed to hit your G Spot.

The vibrating section sits right in the middle of the toy, allowing the strong vibrations to travel up the shaft. The benefit of this location is that you get the maximum sensations around the entrance to your vagina, the most sensitive part.

So overall, it's a pretty product. Not quite as stylish as some of the fun factory toys, but I don't think my boyfriend would be intimidated by it either.

Performance

Onto the actual use of the product. First of all as this product is made from rubber jelly, which is a porous material, you need to pop a condom on it for hygiene reasons. The other downside of rubber jelly is that it really doesn't smell that great. I have to say I did find it slightly off putting to be smelling rubber the entire time. Not of the burning kind mind you. Burning rubber is definitly a bad sign when buying a sex toy.

Using the toy was easy to do, just the same as using any other vibrating dildo really. Insert the toy and twist the bottom! The twist bottom allows you to choose the speed of the vibrations. The vibrations did indeed do their job along the base of the toy. They didn't quite follow through to the tip of the toy though, which was supposed to be pressed against my G Spot.

Did it work? Well unfortunately, no. It felt pleasant, but I didn't achieve orgasm until I used it directly on my clitoris. This could be down to a lack of patience, or a pack of rubbish batteries (I hold my hands up, I plumpe for value batteries!) but I don't think I've quite found my G Spot yet.

Saying that, the vibrator was very pleasent on my clit, and I enjoyed the sensation when the Glitterous was inserted. Perhaps the next step is to try a vibrator that has both clitoral and G spot simulators.

GMP Rating: 75/100

Overall, I'd say this was a great starter vibrator due to it's look, and perhaps if I'd already found my G spot it would have been really effective! I give it 75/100 as generally it's a great product, it just doesn't quite do the job of finding my G spot! Did I mention that it's only £18.62? Bargain!

This looks amazing and so simple to use — could it possible actually designed by a woman but aimed at men so they don`t have to think too much.....

Great review RedDevil! I agree about the smell of rubber though i`ve found you can drown it out with a cinammon scented lube. Makes everything smell like Christmas.

MunchinMavis — very funny!
